Iron Oxide Yellow
Iron compounds have great natural variety and are popular colouring pigments. Most produce yellow-tan tints in laad/tin glazes. At stoneware temperatures black-brown effects are developed whilst black and grey/greens are achieved under reduction firing conditions.
Iron Oxide Yellow Ochre - produces browns and honey yellows in glazes depending upon amount. Yellow ochre weakest but most miscible of the iron oxides.
