Aluminium Armature Wire
Armature wire has various uses in sculpting and pottery. Armature wire is often used to create armatures, which are supportive frameworks for sculptures or clay works. It can be bent into shape to create a sturdy frame that provides structure and support for the clay or other sculpting materials. Armature wire is also used to support sculptures during the sculpting process. It can be inserted into the sculpture to provide stability and prevent sagging or collapsing of the clay or other sculpting materials. Forming figures and shapes with armature wire is commonly used in sculpting. It can be manipulated and shaped to create the desired form or structure for the sculpture. Our armature wire is also suitable for creating custom armature bases for sculpting. It can be used to construct a stable and adjustable base that supports the sculpture during the creation process. Armature wire is made from lightweight, and pliable aluminium. Different thickness of the wire is available, with thicker wires providing more strength and rigidity, while thinner wires are suitable for more detailed work. Our square is specially made for Tiranti in four sizes. The round is available in two sizes only the round armature wire can be used to support soft modelling materials and as sculptural material in its own right.
