Sculpt Nouveau Primers
When applying traditional or acid patinas to the Metal Coatings over iron, steel, or aluminum, a primer must first be used to protect the underlying metal from corrosion. Prime-It is recommended to protect the original ferrous surface. This is the quickest curing and strongest primer available for ferrous metals. It is also a great product to use over polyurethane products before applying the Metal Coatings.
Scuplt nouveau's water based primer should be used on all ceramic, concrete, and plaster surfaces before applying the Metal Coatings.
Both primers are available in available in 8oz., 32oz., 1 gal. sizes. One gallon generally covers 200 sq. ft. in a single coat.
